Summer has struck sweetly , silently again this year and white is the most soothing color of the season. White shorts, three fourths, knee length skirts are all in. Prada has launched quite a few apealing shorts and half length pants this summer.
Recently I checked out the store and came across a pair of white cotton shorts. I must say they would looks stunning on a moderate to slim figure. The design is available in quite a few colors but the white, when teamed with a frilled black or light green, cotton sleeveless top, will look dashing. The last touch is to wear a sexy brown belt with buckles with it and define your waist.
In fact, Miu Miu has launched a low waist reddish pink mini skirt for this spring summer collection that looks superb with a little pleat and a pocket on the right. Teamed up with a white casual wear, you can easily have many hearts swooning. Personally, I recommend you to go for shorts and minis if you have well toned legs and can comfortably carry them.
The best part about short clothes is that you can wear both sneakers and girly shoes with them to give a completely different meaning to your look. Straps and belts always look cool but at times our feet need breathers too. Besides, you can keep your options open among hats as well. Because shorts sport the casual look, you can afford to be either carefully careless or really careless.
I am in for shorts this spring. Are you?
here is my second part to the summer special. It’s so hot, so we can remove the thick boots and shoes and look for light, summery shoes.
I wrote in one of my last entries that colors are very ‘in’ and this also counts for shoes. We see a lot of bright colors this season, as well as exotic skins and gladiator sandals. The Grecian style is also seen on heels and wedges.
Yellow colored shoes are also trendy, like in the clothes department.
Loafers are very comfortable shoes like those by Cole Haan. They are made of yellow patent leather.
Those unique shoes are by Leopoldo Giordano.
What do you think of gladiator sandals? They are still very ‘in’ and seem comfy to wear. They come in a lot of colors, not only in brown tones.

Those shoes by L.A.M.B. combine the gladiator trend with a heel.
Those gladiator shoes look more sophisticated and the white bands make it look very summery.
Another pair by Farylrobin that looks very feminine and cute because of the pink detail.
Chunky shoes with pattern draw a lot attention and were often seen on the catwalks this season.
Shoes by Prada
Wedge shoes are always very comfortable to wear. Those black Prada ones can be worn daily and are perfect for the office.
Some more Prada shoes I came across:
Those shoes in a silver tone are great for a night out and I love the bow details.
What do you think about the new shoe trends for the summer? Have you already found your favourite pair?
With the summers striking in, how do you plan to deck up your closet? Recently I came across a new clothing range by Gucci from their spring-summer collection 2008. I must say I can’t wait to wear them! Pink never goes out of fashion for women. One of those pink Gucci dresses took my heart away.
With a simple black bow at the waist, I must say I should look sexy on most of the girls. The Bateau neck, the detailed pleat on the side and the side zip make it all the more eye catching. And the good thing is that I can wear it both to office and an evening party. The best part about this line of clothing, among the dresses, is that they are casual, comfortable yet classy.
As for that matter, the yellow dress one shoulder strap, with the black felt bow and a strap holding it to you, looks ultra sleek and I must say hot!! The side zip makes it all the more comfortable. We have been talking a lot about yellow this spring, and this dress definitely is an addition to our closets.
Team these up with the black handbag and you cannot stop the heads turning. These dresses with a perfectly lady like handbag speak the long established ethos of women fashion. The perfect pair of shoes for those pretty feet, with these dresses would be a pair of black stilettos with nice straps and belts from Miu Miu.
Dresses are still flirty and girly. Men love women in unique and catchy dresses and so indeed I thought I will please them a little. So are you game for dresses this summer?
Have you been looking for the perfect pair of shoes for your Cinderella feet? Have you been searching for a handbag that speaks your attitude? If I am right in getting your mind, then latest Prada collection is definitely going to please you.
With the amazing range of Prada shoes, I feel like being on a shopping spree. With sleek heels, pointed out toes, elegant belts and buckles, I feel that not only men, but even women should be known by the shoes they wear. And known for being a fashionable lady, I would easily wear those red or black stilettos or the grayish white pumps and stand out. Personally though, my choice is pra184s-1p9873 with a pointed toe and a cool heel.
As always, accessories, especially the handbag that women carry speaks about their personality. And with Prada handbags, I can feel easy just anywhere. I can be chilled and relaxed at a picnic with the multicolored bags and be my elegant self in those black, off white or peach colored ones that go superbly even with party wear! I would go with the light peach pra146s-br3882 with a classy design and elegant feel.
Last but not the least, after a great fan of Miu Miu, I am crazy for Prada, especially for shoes and handbags because of the exclusive designs that they launch, the quality of the material and of course because they make you comfortable wearing your attitude.
So which is your way to be fashionable this summer?? Are you planning party wear or regulars? If you remain to be your fashionable self, start spring cleaning and pampering yourself in to a new pair of shoes and a brand new handbag from the Prada spring/ summer collection 2008!
This time Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift wore the same Balenciaga dress, only in a different color.
Christina wore the dress in blue in February to the LACMA’s Opening Celebration of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum in Los Angeles. She paired it with a big necklace and shoes in a leopard print.
Taylor wore the purple version in April for the 2008 CMT Music Awards at Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She chose shoes in the same color and didn’t wear much jewelry, so the dress is the foreground.
Who do you think looks better in it? Do you prefer the blue or the purple version?
Summer has come early this year, so it’s time to get clothes and accessories for the hot weather. My first post is about shorts, bermudas and its versatility. I personally think they are so comfortable and worry-free. Also, I don’t think they are only for the free time, when not too short they can be also worn in the office. Like this black pair, in knee-length by Theory. Combine them with a blouse and it’s a great outfit for the office.
White is also a great color for the summer. These pants are also by Theory.
More white shorts by Jonah Linen:
Another trend this season are short denim shorts. D&G showed it on the runway:
Alexander Wang used light denim shorts on the catwalk:
Since high waisted pants are still very trendy, why not try shorts in this style?
Those are by Rich and Skinny:
Another big thing is the Safari look this season. Versace designed short pants in this style:
Another pair of shorts I came across are by Stella McCartney. They are wide-legged and look very comfortable to wear. The matching blouse is by the same designer.
Dear Gabriella, I found your post very interesting and I found some interesting pieces too from the forthcoming Gucci 2009 Winter Collection. What do you think about these boots with fringes and this necklace, would you wear them?
And what do you think about these Gucci shoes and handbags for men? I confess I would never wear them!
Recently I saw many stunning shoes which look as little works of art. I wonder if only people in the show business actually wear them or some of you also do…personally I’d love to do it too but I know I would feel very strange and uneasy among people!
What about you?
Here are some from Miu Miu, included the famous “Tea Cup”:

In my last post I wrote about how you can combine the colors yellow, black and white. In this entry I want to show you how just yellow can look glamorous and trendy at the same time.
The yellow trend started on the spring/summer ’08 runways. Diane von Fürstenberg made dresses and tops with yellow flower prints, mostly combined it with simple white pieces.
Gucci also created stunning yellow dresses and accessories for the spring/summer ’08 runway.
But yellow is also wearable off the runway for everyday life. First I thought this color would only look good on tanned people but after seeing Drew Barrymore or Diane Kruger I must say they shine in yellow and don’t make them look pale at all.

Diane Kruger in Tommy Hilfiger
Eva Longoria also rocked the yellow dress, it looks great against her daker skin tone.
Are you a bit wary of wearing a whole yellow outfit? What about beginning with some accessories? I came across this cute yellow cuff bracelet by Fendi.
Yellow shoes by Tod’s with rivet details.
Gucci striped belt with star detail:
What do you think about this trend? Have you already found your favourite pieces?
Yellow and flower prints are very popular this season. So, why not combine them and add black and white? So, you have the new black/white/yellow trend. This combination may sound weird at first but when you combine this colors with flower prints you have the perfect look for spring and summer.
Here you can see Marion Cotillard, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Garner rocking this trend.
As you can see, don’t add jewelry or other big accesssories. Just pair it with plain black shoes.
This trend first started on the Spring ’08 runway by Gucci and Elli Saab. Celebrities like Rihanna soon followed this trend.
Gucci also used this color trend on its handbags and purses.

Some more accessories I came across:
Gucci hat with yellow/black stripes and Gucci monogram
Dress by Asos
In my next post you will see how great just yellow can look on different people.
