Oscars 2016: our 3 favourite outfits

The 2016 Academy Awards is just over  and there’s no doubt that celebrities had blown us away on the red carpet. Here is our choice of the best 3 ladies’ looks.

Charlize Theron wore a Christian Dior dress. This is one of Theron’s best looks of all time: a stunning red gown with a plunging neckline by Harry Winston Jewelry. The Mad Max star was truly statuesque in this dress, accessorized with a perfectly-placed diamond pendant.

Cate Blanchett wore the most iconic dress of the evening, an  original seafom dress by Armani Privé. Absolutely gorgeous!

Our favourite number 3 is the model Dorith Mous, who wore a stunning dramatic black gown. We couldn’t find out who’s the designer of this dress…any clue?

Marcelo Burlon from Clubbing to Fashion

Coming from a hippy village of Patagonia, Argentina, MARCELO BURLON made his name conquering the capital of fashion of the Old Continent. His fashion is a mix of Argentina and Milan clubbing culture, there are a lot of esoteric symbols as well as nature like condors, eagles, snakes. 50 cent, Drake, Rita Ora, Pusha T, Devendra Banhart and a lot of other superstars are already wearing his t-shirts.

Barney’s NY with Lady Gaga

The famous singer and performer Lady Gaga  has recently teamed up with Barneys New York for a NY celebrating event.

Barneys New York is a luxury  store renowned for having the most exclusive edit from the world’s top designers, including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, jewellery, make-up, fragrances, and home decor. To honor the opening of the new flagship Barneys New York in Chelsea, located in the original location of the first ever Barneys, the extravagant singer has been photographed by Bruce Weber for SS2016 campaign. Lady Gaga is seen in her not-so-signature avatar, as she is sporting a minimalist look dressed in denim with shaggy platinum blonde bob and little makeup.

Fendi opens a new store in New York

Fendi has just opened its new Soho outpost at 104 Greene Street, NY. The new store has more space and more goodies from Fendi. The idea is bringing an original new concept to SoHo with different themed products every month. Exclusive products from either vintage or current collections are on sale, hanging from silver claws and perched inside luxury vending machines promoting the fashinating arcade theme that runs throughout the innovative space all while being surrounded by chic andsuper-luxe decor like vintage parquet floors, leather and silk-velvet furniture and exquisite chandeliers.

Alexander McQueen New Parfum

Alexander McQueen is finally launching a fragrance house. The new  McQueen parfum is inspired by the craftsmanship of old perfumery, it’s definitely the image of the house with its gothic genetics and eternal fascination with the dark beauty. The notes include Sambac jasmine, tuberose and ylang-ylang. The topnotes are given by clove, pink and black pepper, as well as vetiver. Held in a gold-feathered bottle, described as “a poem in glass”, the fragrance has erotic connotations in the notes. Tuberose is renowned for its sensuality and orgasm-inducing powers, while jasmine is also considered a natural aphrodisiac.

Sneakers are here to stay!

Last year running shoes might have been worn in an avant-garde, abstract manner, but 2016 has seen an eclectic mix of sneakers on the street. From bold branding to discreet leather options, here are the styles to step out in for SS16. This is most of all the year of leather slip-ons, they  make a good compromise between loafers and trainers and look discreet when paired with classic tailoring. The heavily-cushioned trainer is the elective choice of hipsters. Wear them for extra height or to show you are a real sneaker nerd enjoying the Nineties trend revival.

Alexander Wang Studded Bowler

Model Neelam Gill might be more famous for her former boyfriend Zayn Malik, but recently she’s dating none other than Justin Bieber. Here she kept things casual in a pair of torn jeans, a distressed leather biker jacket and a pair of hi top Converse sneakers. But the best piece is the Rocco bag by Alexander Wang! We love the duffle style and signature silver studs underneath. It can either be carried as a crossbody bag or as a  top handles bowler, plus it’s the perfect size for all your essentials.

Vivienne Westwood’s attention to the female form

Generally one of the most peculiar designers on the runways is Vivienne Westwood a British designer famous for her punk attitude and extravagant clothes . She is normally included in the most memorable, most bizarre and such other lists every season. What is always clear at a Vivienne Westwood show is exactly what has ensured the designer’s longevity: wearability. Today the ruffled-hem wrap dresses; the sexy oversized tailoring; and the embroidered skirts and sweaters  had serious appeal. Vivienne Westwood clothing always  highlights the beauty of the female form, made by a woman who knows exactly the areas that women want, and don’t want, to highlight. We love this attitude!
