First we had sneakers, then we had creeper sneakers, an elevated alternative that gives your outfit height and the promise of style. Now it’s time for platforms 2.0! Both Kendall Jenner and Diane Kruger got their hands on the IT silhouette of the SS2016 season: the Stella McCartney shoes Elyse, a platform oxford that comes in different colours and shapes with details like mesh uppers or a star print.
The one we prefer is the cutout oxford, which let your feet breathe. No matter which pair you choose, you’ll be on trend for Spring whether you go out to work or travel for the weekend. Stand out this season with Stella McCartney’s fun, funky Elyse shoes, a bold addition to your weekend wardrobe!
The Italian fashion house Valentino is launching the Wonder Woman Valentino capsule collection. Inspired by the fictional character of the Wonder Woman by DC Comics, for the new SS season, The 2 creative directors Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri seem to be shooting for the stars, with a wonderful plan to make us all Wonder Women. From a leather jacket to sneakers, the Wonder Woman Valentino line features 25 designer pieces of clothing and accessories. Ranging from denim shorts to tulle dresses, all is wrapped with stars! But stars do not end in here appearing also on sneakers, pointy-toed high-heeled and flat shoes, top-handled bags and clutches, at times coming to be mixed with turquoise stones. There is even a lovely tiara in the collection to pay tribute to that projectile tiara on Wonder Woman’s head all the while. The line includes some stylish pieces with its focus on Wonder Woman’s colors—mainly blue and gold—her stars, and some apparently Greek-influenced items.

The new Vivienne Westwood campaign, ‘Mirror the World’, is about saving the iconic city of Venice from being swallowed by the sea. Not only is climate change flooding one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in the world, but mass tourism on cruise ships is wreaking havoc on the lagoon. Other than Madame Westwood herself and few other models, the campaign features for the second time porn star actor Colby Keller. Keller appears in heels, a dress and even just about naked as he poses in the worn-down Venetian suburbs.
The iconic designer has chosen to do something great by using her celebrity status to advocate for and fight climate change in an effort to save the planet. The campaign was shot in alley ways, canals, shipyards, depressed areas and ancient buildings throughout the city, highlighting the beauty and decay of Venice in effort to shed light on the urgency to take action.
Vivienne Westwood is a committed campaigner in the fight against climate change, many claims to raise awareness and support of this cause are reproduced on t-shirts of the last Vivienne Westwood men’s clothing collection.

The star designer Hedi Slimane has left Saint Laurent fashion house in what could be a significant blow for the brand since he was credited with blowing its financial turnaround over the last four years.
Slimane joined Saint Laurent in March 2012 having previously rivitalized Dior Homme. His earliest collections drew mixed reactions from fashion critics. Some praised his youthful energy, while others criticized his work as an insult to the storied French label. Since being creative director of this venerable French fashion house, Hedi Slimane has re-embraced the Rive Gauche attitude that originally put Yves Saint Laurent’s ready-to-wear on the map. Dropping the Yves and moving the design studios to Los Angeles, Slimane drew major inspiration from the rock n’ roll lifestyle he’s been photographing and living in since leaving Dior Homme in 2007. Saint Laurent handbags for SS2016 collection are a perfect example of this attitude. Hedi Slimane leaves Saint Laurent as an uncompromising revolutionizer and one of the most valuable star properties in fashion.
