Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne is the new star of Prada FW16 Campaign.
Usually the Prada House prefers to feature a mix of well-known and emerging talent in their ad campaigns. Redmayne, however, is definitely one of their most famous testimonialas. According to the brand’s spokesman, Prada chose Redmayne to portray “a contemporary masculinity that aligns worldly travel with intrepid self-knowledge and oblique, original thinking.” The collection’s pictures include a pinstripe charcoal frock coat and a much more informal heavy jumper that Redmayne manages to wear and make look quite cozy despite its jarring color scheme.

Struzinksi tried to capture Banderas’ “everyday man” dress style. Banderas declared “In the morning, I wear jeans, something comfortable, sneakers, a T-shirt and maybe a leather jacket, and I go out”. “If I have meetings, dress a little bit more elegant so I wear chinos, a blazer to have a meeting with the producer, or a cocktail dress. At night If I have a red carpet, I prefer using a tuxedo or a black suit.”
The coats and jackets linings are Banderas’ signature shade of ocean blue, inspired by his homeland Spain. The functional leather jacket, designed for motorcycle wear, has gold detailing, which Banderas said is inspired by the gold and leather outfits that Versace did back in the ’80s.
